Intensive Driving Courses Common Questions
Do Intensive Driving courses work?
In our experience yes they do.
Do I need to take my theory test before booking my intensive course?
Yes we need your theory details so that we can book your driving test. You can book your driving theory test online here
Do I get a test at the end of the course?
Yes on booking your course we will book your driving test for the last day of the course however we reserve the right to cancel the test if you do not reach the required driving standard.
What happens if I fail my Driving test?
You will need to retake your driving test the driving test cost is £62 plus you will have to pay the driving instructor £22 an hour for any extra lessons and the use of the vehicle for your test.
Do you offer a Guaranteed Pass Driving Course?
NO as it depends on the individual and nerves play a big part we feel that we can not offer a guaranteed pass driving course as it would be immoral.
Do you offer lessons in automatic cars?
Not at this time
What is your pass rate?
Our pass rate at Intense Driving School is currently around 80%
Which Intensive Course Should I Take ?
A question that we get asked a lot is how long will it take me, how many lessons will I need. When choosing your course you should base it on the fact that the average person requires a minimum of 45 hours driving tuition to reach test standard. On this basis we recommend the following but please remember this is just a guide as everyone is different.
45 Hour Course - For the absolute beginner
40 Hour Course - Minimum 5 hours of driving experience
45 Hour Course - Minimum 10 hours of driving experience
30 Hour Course - Minimum 15 Hours of driving experience
25 Hour Course - Minimum 20 Hours of driving experience
20 Hour Course - Minimum 25 Hours of driving experience
12 Hour Course - for someone who has achieved test standard and just wants to brush up their driving skills before taking a test. Or for Someone who has recently failed a driving test

Intensive Driving Courses
Intensive Driving Courses, an intensive course is when all of your driving lessons are concentrated into one week rather than done over many months taking a one hour driving lesson a week. These courses are also known as crash courses,learn to drive in a week and a intense driving course. The intensive driving course is the most efficient, fastest and cost effective way of learning to drive.
Intensive courses can be anything from a 12 hour intensive driving course for someone who has recently failed a driving test to 45 hour intensive driving course for someone who has never driven before and are usually done in one week, these are also known as crash courses, learn to drive in one week. Intensive Driving courses can be demanding and rigorous so it is important that you choose the right course for you. Below you will find a guide as to what course you should be looking at but remember this is just a guide as everyone is different.
All of our intensive course have a driving test on the last day of the course.
We are based in Swindon and all of our courses are done in either Swindon, Chippenham or Newbury and you would take your driving test at one of these test centres at the end of your course. Swindon is 50 minutes from London by train so is ideal for those who wish to commute daily for their course, for those who don’t we offer a residential intensive driving course.
All of our intensive courses are done on a one to one basis unlike other driving schools we do not offer car share .
